The Day You Decided

(A love letter to the ones sitting on the edge of their own greatness)

Gary Vee said something in a live training this week that hit like a lightning bolt: “Every niche is saturated, except one. The only niche left is you.”

Boom. 

That’s it. That’s the code. 

Because if you’ve been waiting for the perfect idea, the right niche, or the next “blue ocean,” we’ve got news for you. It doesn’t exist. There is no untouched space left out there. Every topic, every market, every idea has already been done. 

But you haven’t been done. Your story hasn’t been told in your voice, through your lens, with your lived texture of truth. It’s not about finding a “blue ocean” It’s realizing that you are one. 

Gary said you should tell a story every single day on social media. You are the only person on the entire planet who has your story - your life, your lens, your lesson. Sure, maybe 100 people ate pancakes this morning, but they didn’t spill them all over themselves like you did, right? And even if they did, their laughter, their mess, their morning wasn’t yours.  

That’s what makes it magnetic. Because people don’t connect to perfect, they connect to human.

The Excuse Factory

So post about it. Every day. 365 stories a year. 

What happens when you don’t? When you wait until you feel good enough, polished enough, or ready enough? You end up trapped. We seem to think that the path to success on how to put out good social media content comes in the form of us debating with our insecure selves in our own minds, in our darkest spaces. 

But this isn’t about thinking. It’s about doing. 

You will only get better when you do. Not when you wait. Not when you hesitate. Your voice doesn’t get stronger in silence, it gets stronger in motion. You don’t find clarity by waiting. You find it by showing up. 

As humans we try to find all kinds of excuses as to why we can’t do things so we can be successful. We are professional excuse-makers:

• I’m overweight

• I don’t look good

• My hairline is receding

• My mother did this…

• My father did this..

• My siblings did this…

We think no one understands. But the bottom line is that we are all just scared of failing in front of people because we actually value stranger’s opinions. So let’s say it together - loud and unfiltered: enough of that! The only destinations our excuses lead us to is dying with regrets. And regret is devastating, especially when it means we didn’t actually do the thing we wanted to do in our life.

So, how do you start? How do you step into what you are passionate about - finally showing up fully and authentically as you? 

You decide.

The Day You Decide is the Day You Become

It’s not about them, it’s about you. The day you decide is the day you become. You make content. You do you. And they will come. 

So here’s the challenge: 

Don’t overthink your content. Don’t edit your truth before it even has a chance to breathe. Just show up - messy, alive, honest. 

Tell one story today. Then tell another tomorrow. 

The riches are in the niches… but they belong to those who have the nerve to be the niche. The nerve to show up, even when your insecure self tries to talk you out of it. 

The day you decide is the day you become it.
