Same Address. Different Reality?
Collapse time, quantum jump into your next evolution, and rewrite your timeline...without waiting 20 years to do it.

Time is a funny thing. It’s the only true limited resource we have. If you don’t breathe in time, you die. If you don’t eat in time, you die. We can’t outpredict anything in our day-to-day lives - there are too many probabilities that can happen on any given day then we give them credit for. In fact, we recently heard Jordan Peterson say, in his opinion, the great mystery of life is how we are not completely freaked out of our minds on a day-to-day basis. Probably true, right? We have no idea what kind of world powers are happening around us every single day that could end our lives in an instant. And we have no idea when our “time” is up…but until then, we all get the same 24 hours. Same minutes. Same seconds.
And that makes time the most valuable currency you’ll ever trade. It’s not something you can just get “more” of. You can’t buy or trade time in the literal sense.
But what if you could bend it? What if - we without adding more hours - you could collapse time in your favor? What if you could quantum leap into a fuller, freer version of yourself…not in 20 years, but in one decision?
Let’s back up for a second.
The Penthouse Metaphor That Changed Everything
Imagine an old apartment building in New York City. Let’s say it has eight floors, the top being a penthouse. Once a building is built, it’s immovable. The address stays the same. The walls stay the same. Just like you - once your body is here, it’s here. Your biology stays the same. Any movement or change that happens in that apartment building is going to happen on the inside of the structure. Just like us - any movement that is going to happen in our bodies is going to happen behind our eyes.
Every view in the New York City apartment building changes as you go up the floors. Imagine August in New York. From the first floor, the street noise is loud. It’s hot. It smells like garbage and sidewalk fragrance. You walk up from the bottom floor to the penthouse and step out onto the balcony. Suddenly, a breeze brushes your face. You hear birds instead of car horns. The air is fresh. You see the Hudson River glittering close by and the Empire State Building silhouette by sunset. Same address. Completely different reality.
Now here’s the catch:
If you went back down and told someone on the first floor, “Hey do you realize you live next to a river?” They would probably say, “You’re crazy, I don’t live next to any river.” And the interesting thing about that is, they’d be right. Because their view is just as real as yours. This is exactly what happens inside you. Depending on what floor you live on in your inner world, you see a different version of reality. Same body. Same address. Different reality.
And most people don’t realize: you can move floors. But it’ll cost you.
The Cost of Expansion
Every time you go up a floor in that building, it costs more. Just like in life - there’s a cost to rising. A cost to growth. Because when you choose to elevate your perception, you also choose to leave something behind. You can’t move to a new apartment without packing up the old one. Without clearing out the furniture and getting rid of all the clutter. That means letting go of the patterns, beliefs, and maybe even relationships that only made sense at the lower floor.
Sometimes it requires leaving behind everything and everyone who kept you “safe” in the older view. But what you gain? Priceless. Because the higher you go, the more impersonal your identity becomes. Every new level requires an identity death - some bigger than others. The move from the first to the second floor might be the hardest one of all. You stop living as the character you were assigned (your name, your circumstances, your wounds), and start living as the soul you actually are.
Why Neutrality is Power
Carolyn Myss went to Catholic school and a Catholic college. She had a Catholic nun as a teacher, and one day she put Carolyn in the center of a wheel. Around the edge of the wheel were names of different belief systems. The teacher asked, “What is God?” The teacher pointed at each and said, “Answer me as a Buddhist.” “Answer me as a Catholic.” “Answer me as a Hindu." “Answer me as an atheist.” “Answer me as if there were no God.”
But here was the test: the second Carolyn became attached to any answer, she failed. The teacher said, “Why is your way the right way? I don’t understand. If you’re attached to something - if you’re defensive - you know nothing and you’ll learn nothing. I’ve taught you nothing if you are defensive. There’s no way into you if you are defensive.”
True power comes from neutrality. The place where you can say, “I honestly don’t know what the truth is.” That is the doorway to expanding your reality. You can then consciously do the one thing no one has the power to take away from you: you can make a choice that is true for you.
See the difference? You can’t consciously choose living a life by your own power, authority, and design if you are running someone else’s version of life that has been installed, or inherited, from someone else.
The Moment You Choose, Reality Follows
Carolyn moved to New Hampshire and within 45 minutes of getting there, she found a place to live: a charming Cape Cod home. She went to bed that night, got up in the morning, and was looking outside her windows. One faced the front of the house, and the other faced the back. She looked out her front window and saw a lawn with a yard and a street. Then she looked out her back window and saw a farm and a barn. Her brain broke a little - she looked out the front and saw a lawn with a yard and a street, and out the back again and saw a farm and barn.
At that moment, she didn’t know where she was. She picked up the phone, dialed the landlord and asked, “Where am I right now? Where do I live?” And the landlord told her she had rented a 200 acre farm! She was stunned. Her identity - city girl from Racine Street in Chicago - couldn’t compute it. She wasn’t a farm person, she was a city girl who loved to go to the theater and do all the city things. And yet, there she was. She describes that moment as a split in time. She could literally feel the density - the weight - of a new perception coming toward her. In that moment, she said it was like God was telling her, “You choose. You choose how you want to see this, and we’ll go with that.”
That’s what perception does. It doesn’t just color your reality, it creates it. Everything we are doing as humans right now seems to be all about “schooling” our perceptions. We are educating ourselves on our capacity to perceive truth in every situation, and how quickly we can respond to what is really going on. That’s the big catch for me.
The Physics of a Quantum Jump
And that is where collapsing time comes back into play because it is one of the only way you can do it.
Most people think time is horizontal, but what if time is also vertical? Imagine a vertical line of time that is the speed of light and a horizontal time that is our timeline from birth to death.
We can change at the speed of light. In an instant! But we rarely let it. What do we do instead? We avoid. We procrastinate. We tell ourselves “later.” We know we should end the relationship… but we stay. We know we need to write the book… but we wait. We see the pattern that’s hurting us or our children… but we don’t want to - or aren’t ready to - face it yet. Emotions are too much, we can’t deal. We keep putting things off over and over again. And instead of collapsing time, we stretch it out. We circle the truth without ever landing on it.
And all the while, time is ticking. Quietly. Steadily.
Until one day, we finally do the thing and we're left saying, “I wish I had done this twenty years ago.” That’s the paradox. The shift was always available. The timeline could have collapsed at any moment. But we’re the ones who make time dense when we resist what we already know.
A Word of Caution Here
Before we go any further, let us offer a word of caution:
This isn’t a call to beat yourself up for not moving faster. If there’s something you could have done years ago and didn’t, there’s no shame here. Life has its own sacred rhythm. Lived experience builds depth, compassion, and wisdom. Sometimes the detour is the path. And some lessons are only revealed through the long way around.
But when you’re ready—truly ready—to start schooling your perception and quantum leap into a fuller, freer version of you... this is the blueprint.
Not a shame spiral. An invitation.
When You Move, They Move With You
In our last We Play Full Out Life Mastery Intensive, we went deep on this exact idea -how collapsing time and quantum jumping aren’t just buzzwords… they’re real. When you recognize a pattern and choose to shift it now, you don’t just change your own life. You change the lives of everyone your energy touches. Especially your children.
They’re watching. Absorbing. Mirroring your patterns. And when you heal something in you, whether it’s emotional avoidance, perfectionism, scarcity, or shame - you interrupt a generational cycle. You collapse time for them, too. You save them decades of confusion, coping, or pain they never had to carry in the first place.
And that? Is no small thing.
Final Thought
Time is ticking, and it’s going to keep ticking no matter what you decide to do. But taking charge of your perceptions? Seeing the reality of where you are? Making the decision first to see, then to lean into the things you want to avoid or are putting off and addressing them as soon as possible? That is a choice. A bold, soul-level decision to stop running old patterns and start living by your own power and authority.
No one else can make a choice for you. And no one can take choice away from you. That is your one and true freedom.
But if you do choose to rise, to play full out as the highest, most authentic, most whole version of yourself you don’t just move to a new floor of perception…
You become the author of a new timeline. You expand your view. You collapse old patterns. You reclaim your voice, your truth, your power. And in doing so, you don’t just change your life, you change the lives of everyone connected to you.
Your family. Your future. Maybe even the world.
